I have the same problem, My phone is locked to three Ireland, the samsung update fixer tool doesn't work,
Tried flashing Firmware from samfirmware.com and both finished with the same code

[Channel 0] FLASH LOCK

Could the tool for fixing it be "locked out" of fixing it?

i get into the download mode by pressing VOL UP + Camera and connecting the usb lead, and VOL Down + Camera for formatting the phone.

How do you remove the FLASH LOCK?

EDIT - Nevermind.. The Flash Lock is unlocked to flash and Relocked when flashing is finished. I have the 5.3.0.4 Bootloader but still cannot get into the USB to PC mode

EDIT 2 - Right I got the update to install, I flashed the phone back to original stock using this guide on winrumours

Then started the update process all over again and now its on step 8 - installing updates. Phone is still SIM locked but now seems unbranded (no three splashscreen, no three app etc) . Makes me wonder for the mango update, Will we get mango now earlier because its not "branded" as the non carrier phones got the updates first?

Also I am now on the 4.11.0.3 bootloader

LAST EDIT (3) - I am now fully updated to the 7392, Seems if you flash back to RTM and start again everything will go ok, but setting everything back up is part of the fun with new ROMS,
